Jack Cerminaro

Jack Cerminaro (Dayton, OH) began his dance journey in elementary school, training in
ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and contemporary throughout Midwest Ohio. In his
senior year of high school, he joined the Dayton Dance Conservatory Company. There,
he collaborated with and performed works by many choreographers and found joy in
creating his first dance piece, which was performed in the company’s Spring Repertoire
Concert. In 2021, Jack was accepted into the Contemporary Dance Program at the
University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA). During his time at UNCSA,
Jack trained in Cunningham, Limón, Countertechnique, Release Technique, and West
African and has performed in proscenium settings, site-specific works, and film. His
performance experience includes repertory works by Martha Graham, José Limón,
Robert Battle, Shen Wei, and Merce Cunningham and original works by Brenda
Daniels, Pearlann Porter, Emily Nicolaou, Rena Butler, Jim Vincent, Catherine Meredith,
Dwana Smallwood, and Endalyn Taylor-Outlaw. Jack dedicated his time to fostering his
choreographic artistry inside and outside of school to make works of his own. He
graduated in May of 2025 with his B.F.A. in Contemporary Dance. Jack is thrilled to
begin his first season teaching with Pure Studios Performing Arts!
